I always love how these marigolds look against the darkness of night!
Occasionally I have trouble finding the words to explain how I feel, but often something in my environment will strike me and I will have an urge to take a photo of it. It's not always something with incredible beauty or striking vibrancy, but something about the item or the setting will be so compelling and I will find a metaphor for my life in the resulting image. These are some of the photos from those moments.

Healthometer
The plants in the house are turning out to be a good gauge of my own mental health. I am inclined to be introspective in the backyard and find myself tending to the plants while I'm there, so when the plants don't look good I know that I haven't been taking enough time for myself. It's not looking good for either of us at the moment. Luckily I've had a bit of time to recover this weekend. Hopefully over the next week the plants and I will make a full recovery.
